Chontaduro Drink

Yields: 4 servings

A warm and comforting beverage made with peach palm powder, spices, and panela. Ideal for your morning or afternoon snack, rich in fiber, flavor, and tradition.

📝 Ingredients

  • 50 g Chontadooroh flour
  • 30 g of corn starch
  • Panela powder to taste
  • Cinnamon to taste
  • Anise to taste
  • 1 liter of water

🍳 Preparation

  1. Sift the chontaduro flour together with the cornstarch to avoid lumps.
  2. Blend this mixture with 1 ½ liters of water until completely integrated.
  3. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 20 minutes, adding cinnamon and anise to taste.
  4. Remove from heat and perform a thermal shock (you can place the container in cold water to stop the cooking process).
  5. Strain the drink and serve hot.
  6. The rest can be stored in the refrigerator and enjoyed cold later.
