Chontaduro Bread

Soft, golden rolls with a unique chontaduro flavor, perfect with a hot drink or as a healthy snack.

🧾 Ingredients (makes approx. 6 units)

  • 1 cup of powdered chontaduro

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 2 teaspoons of dry yeast

  • 1 tablespoon of sugar

  • 1 tablespoon of honey

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • ¾ cup of water or milk

🍳 Preparation

Step 1: Form a volcano with the flours.
Step 2: Place the salt on the edge and the rest of the ingredients in the center.
Step 3: Hydrate the yeast for 8 minutes.
Step 4: Knead until you get a smooth dough.
Step 5: Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
Step 6: Form balls.
Step 7: Let the balls rest for 10 more minutes.
Step 8: Preheat the air fryer to 356°F (180°C) for 8 minutes.
Step 9: Bake at 338°F (170°C) for 18 minutes.
Step 10: Let cool or rest for 10 minutes before consuming.
