Chontaduro Pandebonos Recipe

Pandebonos of Chontaduro

An easy, quick recipe with a special touch thanks to the chontaduro. Perfect for breakfast or an afternoon coffee.

🧾 Ingredients (for 6-8 small pandebonos)

  • 2 tablespoons of powdered chontaduro

  • 1 cup of grated white cheese

  • 1 tablespoon of sour cassava starch

  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon of grated panela or honey

  • ½ teaspoon butter

  • ½ teaspoon of salt

  • 1 egg

🍳 Preparation

Step 1: Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
Step 2: Knead until you get a smooth, homogeneous dough.
Step 3: Form into walnut-sized balls or whatever size you prefer.
Step 4: Preheat the air fryer to 356°F (180°C) for 8 minutes.
Step 5: Cook the pandebonos in the air fryer at 356°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

💡 Extra tips

  • You can replace the white cheese with grated mozzarella for a more elastic version.

  • If you don't have an air fryer, bake them at 180°C in a conventional oven for 15-20 minutes.
