Chontaduro Sauce for Red Meats

A sophisticated option to accompany red meats with a tropical and spicy touch.

🧾 Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 2 ½ tablespoons of powdered chontaduro

  • 1 cup of red wine

  • 2 cups of broth (chicken, beef, or vegetable)

  • 1 tablespoon of butter

  • ¼ sliced ​​chives

  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg

  • 6 cloves of garlic

  • Salt and pepper to taste

🍳 Preparation

Step 1: Heat the butter in a pan.
Step 2: Add the chives and garlic cloves.
Step 3: Pour in the red wine and cook for 5 minutes until the alcohol evaporates.
Step 4: Add the powdered chontaduro and mix well.
Step 5: Add the broth of your choice slowly while stirring.
Step 6: Add nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste.
Step 7: Cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens.
Step 8: Serve hot over red meats such as steak or loin.

📝 Tip

If you prefer a silkier finish, you can strain the sauce through a fine sieve before serving.
